On June 13, the "Leading Danyang" photovoltaic power station project, which uses the VG Solar "Qihang" tracking system, was successfully connected to the grid for power generation, which also marked the official commissioning of the largest photovoltaic power station in southern Jiangsu. The
"Leading Danyang" photovoltaic power station is located in Yanling Town, Danyang City, Jiangsu Province. The project uses more than 3,200 acres of fish pond water resources in five administrative villages, including Dalu Village and Zhaoxiang Village, and is built in a way of fish-light complementation. The total investment is about 750 million yuan. It is the largest photovoltaic power station connected to the grid in the five cities of southern Jiangsu so far. The project uses the VG Solar "Qihang" tracking system with a total installed capacity of 180MW.
As the 2P flagship product of VG Solar, the "Qihang" tracking system has been applied in many projects at home and abroad, with outstanding market performance. "Qihang" is equipped with VG Solar' self-developed intelligent tracking algorithm and multi-point drive technology, which can automatically optimize the tracking angle and increase the power generation of the power station. The wind resistance stability of the bracket is also three times higher than that of the conventional tracking system, which can effectively resist extreme weather such as strong winds and hail, and reduce the energy loss caused by hidden cracks in the battery.
In the "Leading Danyang" project, the VG Solar technical team took into account a variety of factors and designed a customized solution. In addition to solving the wind-induced resonance problem through a multi-point drive design to ensure the smooth operation of the components, VG Solar also reduced the lateral force of the pile foundation according to customer needs and the actual environment of the project site, and set the row spacing and pile spacing to 9 meters to facilitate the passage of fishing boats, which was highly praised by the owner and all parties.
After the "Leading Danyang" photovoltaic power station is put into use, it will continue to supply green energy to the western part of Danyang. According to estimates, the power station has an average annual power generation of about 190 million kWh, which can meet the annual electricity needs of more than 60,000 households; it can also reduce 68,600 tons of standard coal and 200,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year.
While continuously expanding and enriching the application scenarios of tracking systems, VG Solar is also committed to bringing forth new ideas, continuously optimizing, iterating and developing products. At the recent 2024 SNEC exhibition, VG Solar exhibited two new solutions - the ITracker Flex Pro and XTracker X2 Pro series. The former innovatively uses a flexible full-drive structure with stronger wind resistance; the latter is specially developed for special terrains such as mountains and subsidence areas. With the dual efforts on the R&D and sales ends, VG Solar' tracking system is expected to play a greater role in the construction of a green and low-carbon society in the future.
